HOW I HAVE MORE BOTTLE CAPS THAN A SANE PERSON NEEDS OR WANTS

I have bottle caps in Johnny-Carson-as-Carl-Sagan numbers: billions and billions. And still don’t have enough. I sort them as to color.My single biggest provider: E Z Duz It Hot Spot in Langley, Oklahoma. Proprietress Deborah is a clean freak. The Hot Spot is the cleanest tavern I’ve ever been in, outside a Four Star establishment*. It’s a rare time that I don’t find her laying a scrubbin’ on something when I stop in for my bottle cap supply.  I like getting bottle caps from such an individual. SYMBOLS: DEEP AND MUNDANE

Upcycled bottle cap/pull tab pinsZelma made me a Rice Krispies treats peace sign. Is it not adorable? I can't bring myself to eat it. I've pulled a few bits off to nibble and then re-shaped it, but I can't devour it. Those of you who know me, know what a compliment this inability is. I have a notorious sweet tooth and can resist everything but temptation. I think science has proven Rice Krispies treats can withstand nuclear winter. UP AGAINST THE WALL

Poor people in poor times (Depression era) in a poor state (Oklahoma) built the place now known as Hungry Holler Art Center. They used native stone and lots of concrete to build the house, the detached garage and the two outbuildings. Outbuilding #1 is the Woodshop. Outbuilding #2 is my studio. I love the Holler, in particular the EXTERIOR Holler. The interior of the house is a whole nuther story.The original stone house was tiny.
